Advocacy

Actions taken by local, state and federal governmental agencies can have a tremendous impact on the real estate profession. That’s why the Savannah Area REALTORS® (SAR) is dedicated to supporting home ownership and private property rights by advocating for REALTORS® and their clients. We utilize several committees and coalitions to support and defend the real estate profession. Additionally, SAR communicates with legislators and regulators to help pass laws that maintain a healthy business environment for our members and for their clients, and we work to defeat laws which increase the cost of housing and inhibit the growth of the real estate industry.

The Savannah Area REALTORS® works to create positive change that supports the work of real estate professionals and the consumers they serve by seeking to:

Promote home ownership,
Encourage investment in real estate,
Protect the right to own and use private property,
Enable members to transact business to the advantage and protection of the public and the members, and
Promote and maintain high standards of conduct.
